Why are some of my channels missing from the channel list?

Whether you are missing one or more channels, the troubleshooting procedure is the same. Please follow the instructions below:

If you have Netbox or iBox:

  • If you are subscribed to an additional Melita television outlet, identify the missing channel/s and check whether the problem is the same on both outlets.
  • If the channel/s is/are missing on both outlets, this could mean that there is a general problem on that particular channel.
  • If the channel/s is/are missing on just one outlet or you have no additional Melita television outlets to check from, kindly follow the below instructions:
  • Press the Menu button from the Melita HD remote control.

  • Press OK on Setup and diagnostics.

  • Go to Automatic Digital Channel Tuning-in and press OK on Edit your channel list.

  • If you are able to locate the missing channel/s in this list, this means that the channel is hidden. This can be confirmed by a  next to the channel name.
  • Press OK to add this channel back to your channel list. The inclusion of this channel in the channel list can be confirmed by the absence of the  icon next to the channel name.
  • If this was the problem, then you can stop here and Exit the menu. If not, please proceed with the below instructions.
  • If you are not able to locate the missing channel in the Edit your channel list section, you would need to perform a channel scan. Go Back one step.
  • You should still be in the Automatic Digital Channel Tuning-in menu. Press OK on Cable: Manual tuning.

  • Press OK on Use NIT.

  • Wait for the progress bar to reach 100% and press OK.

  • Exit the Menu and check the channel again.

4.  Reboot the Melita HD Box in the following manner:

  • Turn off the HD box from the Melita HD remote control.
  • Turn off the HD box from the power switch.
  • Turn on the HD box from the power switch.
  • Turn on the HD box from the Melita HD remote control.

 

If you have Digibox HD:

  • If you are subscribed to an additional Melita television outlet, identify the missing channel/s and check whether the problem is the same on both outlets.
  • If the channel/s is/are missing on just one outlet or you have no additional Melita television outlets to check from, kindly perform a factory default by clicking here.
