Why do I have a black/blue picture showing No Signal?

If you have the silver box:

You may not have a picture for a few reasons. First you need to identify whether a note is being displayed on the screen; for example No Signal or No Video Signal. You may also have a black, blue or a grainy picture. To resolve any one of these issues, please follow the instructions below:

If the Melita Digital Set-Top box is connected to your television set via a SCART cable:

Confirm that your television set and the Melita Digital Set-Top box are both turned ON.
Confirm that the SCART cable is securely connected to both ends.
If the SCART cable connected to your television set has an IN/OUT switch, confirm that the switch is set to IN.
Try to change the source until you get a picture or until one loop is completed.
If the problem persists, you may need to change the SCART cable.

If the Melita Digital Set-Top box is connected to your television set via a coaxial cable:

Confirm that your television set and the Melita Digital Set-Top box are both turned ON.
Confirm that both metal connectors on the coaxial cable are screwed tight.
Try to change the Source from your television remote control until you get a picture or until one loop is completed.
Use your television remote control to change channels from 1 to 9 until you get a picture.
If the problem persists, re-tune your television set.

If the problem is present on one particular channel only see below:

Identify the channel and confirm that this is part of the channel line-up you are subscribed to.
Confirm that the metal connector on the coaxial cable is connected to Cable Input is screwed tight.
If the issue persists, perform a channel scan. Here’s how:

Put down your remote control and have a look at the Melita Digital Set-Top box. You should notice two buttons; channel up and channel down.
Press both channel up and channel down buttons simultaneously and sustain for about four seconds.

You can release them once the set-top box turns off.
A blue screen will appear and a message will indicate that a software update is being done. Do not press any buttons at this time.

Wait until the progress bar reaches 100% and the set-top box will reboot once again.
A channel scan will start automatically. Do not press any buttons at this time.

Once the channel scan is done, a yellow prompt will ask you to press the OK button.

Get the Melita Digital remote control, press the OK button once and then press the Exit button twice.
