FAQ – What is the difference between a wired and wireless connection?

Wired Connection

A wired connection is when you connect your modem or router directly to your device using an Ethernet cable.

This achieves the fastest speeds because there is no interference between the device and your Internet signal.

Wireless Connection

On the other hand it is best connecting to your WiFi connection when you are using a mobile or a tablet through WiFi signals.

WiFi is dependent on a lot of external factors. Advertised internet speeds are upon a direct cable connection with the modem. Wired speeds cannot be achieved using a wireless router.
